Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Evolving Programs, Inc. ("Evolving Programs," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use Daily Briefings (the "Service"), available at dailybriefings.ai. Daily Briefings is a product of Evolving Programs, Inc. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
Daily Briefings is currently in private beta. We take user privacy seriously and review our data handling practices before each expansion of access. If you have questions about anything in this policy, contact us at privacy@dailybriefings.ai.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you provide
- Account information: name, email address, profile image, and authentication identifiers from your sign-in provider (e.g. Google).
- Briefing preferences: sources, topics, skills, schedule, tone, and any other configuration you set.
- Communications: messages you send to support, feedback, and survey responses.
1.2 Information from connected integrations
With your explicit authorization, the Service may connect to third-party accounts and data sources (such as Google Workspace, email providers, calendar, document storage, code repositories, RSS feeds, and other integrations you enable). We access only the scopes you grant, which may include:
- Email metadata and message content needed to summarize or surface relevant items in your briefing.
- Calendar events, documents, files, repositories, or other content you authorize us to read.
- Profile information from the connected provider (such as your name and email).
We access this data only to operate features you have requested. You can revoke access at any time from your account settings or directly with the provider (for example, Google account permissions).
1.3 Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, briefings opened, links clicked, and similar product analytics.
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and timestamps.
- Cookies and similar technologies: used for authentication, session management, and analytics.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Authenticate you and operate your account.
- Generate, personalize, schedule, and deliver your daily briefing email.
- Read and process data from integrations you connect, strictly to power features you have enabled.
- Improve the Service, debug issues, monitor performance, and prevent abuse.
- Communicate with you about the Service, updates, and support.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. Google user data
If you connect a Google account, our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We use Google user data only to provide and improve user-facing features of Daily Briefings.
- We do not sell Google user data, and we do not use it for advertising.
- We do not allow humans to read Google user data except (a) with your explicit consent, (b) for security purposes (such as investigating abuse), (c) to comply with applicable law, or (d) where the data has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.
- We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service, for security, or to comply with applicable law.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
- Service providers: infrastructure, database, email delivery, analytics, and authentication vendors that process data on our behalf under confidentiality and data-protection obligations (currently including Vercel, Supabase, Resend, and similar providers).
- At your direction: when you connect, share, or forward content from the Service.
- Legal and safety: to comply with law, lawful requests, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection.
5. Data retention
We retain account and configuration data for as long as your account is active. Content fetched from integrations is retained only as long as needed to generate your briefings and improve the Service, and is deleted or anonymized on a rolling basis. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing privacy@dailybriefings.ai.
6. Security
We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, encrypted storage, scoped access tokens, and least-privilege access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a security incident affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.
7. Your choices and rights
- Access and correction: review or update your account information in settings.
- Revoke integrations: disconnect any integration at any time from settings or via the provider.
- Deletion: request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Marketing: opt out of non-essential emails via the unsubscribe link.
- Regional rights: depending on your location (e.g., EEA, UK, California), you may have additional rights such as access, portability, restriction, objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
8. International transfers
We operate primarily from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
